Coaching Professional Apprenticeship

Coaching Professional Apprenticeship

There has been a growing demand for the professionalisation of coaching to include one-to-one coaching, team coaching, leadership coaching and for coaching skills to be embedded within culture and governance infrastructures to support future ways of working.

This unique delivery is online with face-to-face meetings with your employer and Personal Tutor to discuss progress. Observations of coaching practice take place in the work location. Your Personal Tutor will work closely with you throughout the course. Individual and small group seminars provide opportunities to share experiences and to aid in the completion of assessments and development of your evidence portfolio, required for the End Point Assessment.  Regular meetings between you, your line manager and Personal Tutor will also take place to further support your development.

Levels available: 5

Duration: 1 – 2 years

Coaching Professional Level 5

This practical, evidence-based course is beneficial for those who want to develop their skills to actively listen, provide feedback and use coaching and mentoring to advance performance. Aimed to anyone who has line management responsibilities, project lead roles or those seeking self-development.

The applicant must have the opportunity to be engaged in a coaching relationship and display the behavioural attributes required of a coach, such as trust and integrity.

English and Maths

Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End-Point Assessment. Our training provider will be able to assess your prior attainment and exemptions. For those with a PASS plan or health and care plan, the apprenticeship’s English and maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3.

A British Sign Language (BSL) qualification is an alternative to the English qualification for those whose primary language is BSL.

The course is for 14 months, followed by End Point Assessment (17 months in total).

Our training provider for the above apprenticeship is internal to our university and is based in Holbeach, offering delivery online and in-person support at our Lincoln Campuses.
