On the 21st June the University will be hosting a Job Opportunity and Support open event for colleagues leaving us through voluntary severance and redundancy. In attendance will be potential employers including local businesses and Universities in our catchment area. There will be presentations offering information on careers, benefits, the local and UK employment market as well as stands offering face to face support on HR queries, careers support, mental and financial wellbeing, development, benefits and pensions. This event will be open to anyone with a future leaving date and is also open to any colleagues leaving before the event date on the 21st June.

11:30 am – New Business Ventures – Talk on setting up a new business followed by an opportunity for networking with colleagues looking to set up a business after leaving the University.
12:30 pm – Wealth at work – Financial wellbeing basics talk
13:00 pm – Department for Work and Pensions – Support available from the DWP including job searching, training and benefits – Rachel Bell
