EU Settlement Scheme

DECEMBER 2020

EU Settlement Scheme

The EU Settlement Scheme deadline, of the 31st December 2020, is fast approaching. If you have not taken action yet or are unsure whether you need to do so please read the following: guidance leaflet .

If you are an EU citizen, resident in the UK by 31 December 2020, you and your family members (including non-EU citizens) need to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme to continue to live, work and study in the UK beyond 30 June 2021. To apply to the Settlement scheme application process see EU Settlement Scheme

Even if you have lived in the UK for many years or you have a permanent residence document, you still need to apply. However, you do not need to apply if you have indefinite leave to remain or enter, or you are an Irish citizen, but you can if you wish to.

We anticipate further information from the government in early December regarding the new Points Based Immigration process for colleagues arriving from the EU on and after the 1st January 2021. The HR webpage will be updated with the latest guidance as it emerges and updates for recruiting managers will be circulated thereafter.
